"Painted Houses. Władysław Hasior and Zofia Rydet"
BWA w Tarnowie, ul. Słowackiego 1
Tue–Thr: 11:00-18:00, Fri–Sun: 12:00-19:00
The first meeting after many years of two exceptional personalities of Polish art, for whom photography - in various ways - was a means of registration and elevation of everyday life. For both of them the most intriguing was the authentic, and the sources of this authenticity were searched far beyond the city centers. The exhibition will show the poems from Władysław Hasior's "Notepad of Photography" - in the form of photojournalism published in the 1980s in the pages of the weekly Nowa polska and Zofia Rydet's photographic portfolio dedicated to Zalipie. The title "Painted houses" refers not only to the common themes of their work, but also to a similar, at the same time documentary and metaphorical, strategy of using a photographic image.
