Galeria w Pałacu Vauxhall, Centrum Kultury i Sportu w Krzeszowicach, ul. dr. J. Walkowskiego 1, Krzeszowice
TUE-FRI: 9:00-16:00, SUN: 10:00-14:00

Presented by Vauxhall Palace Gallery, Wojciech Plewiński‘s photography exhibition displays female portrait and theatrical photography. Plewiński is an author of over 500 covers of a renowned newsmagazine “Przekrój”. His works are characterised by compositional care, immaculate framing and a unique view. Plewiński frequently employs foreshortening to bring out the most compelling contents of photographs – those were often unnaturally highlighted parts of a woman’s body. Through the use of abovementioned techniques, Plewiński created a singular style of female portrait photography, what helped establish “Przekrój” as a gateway of new faces sought by the contemporary film industry. Exhibition curator: Kamil Kłeczek Exhibition open until: 30 September, 2020

I sketch female reality with the camera. I write a picture with words, I paint words with a picture. I'm trying if they match, just like you wear a sweater for the first time, which later becomes your favorite. I note thoughts that they would stay with me forever, like a tattoo. In large albums with hard covers, I create recipes for happiness. I season them with a dried leaf and forget-me-not.
