"The art of photography is a way of preserving the past moments. It allows us to go back in time to places where the inhabitants of Krakow used to live. So let's take this journey together to our city from years ago to see how it has changed. It is a sign of respect for the achievements of Cracovians who, like us today, used to create our city” - says Jacek Majchrowski, Mayor of the City of Krakow. “I encourage you to visit the thoroughly modern ICE Kraków Congress Centre, where, as part of the campaign "Be a tourist in your city - visit Kraków", we will be able to get to know Kraków undiscovered, surprising and intriguing. Of course, the exhibition will be organized in accordance with the applicable sanitary regimes and is intended for everyone - both the youngest and slightly older residents of our city” - adds Mayor Majchrowski.

The co-organizer of the exhibition is Galeria LueLue, which for over ten years has been giving new life to archival photographs of Kraków. They create the map of the city from the past and show people who created its atmosphere, past fashions or popular - although today forgotten - forms of spending free time. They stimulate your imagination, allowing you to discover the old streets of the city or hear the clatter of heels on the cobbled Market Square.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from September 2 to October 4, 2020 in the foyer of the ICE Kraków Congress Centre. Visitors are invited from Tuesday to Sunday from 11AM to 7PM. Admission to the exhibition is free.

The organizers of the exhibition are Krakow PL, KBF and Galeria LueLue.
